Is today's gender madness really such a new thing? No - men claiming womanhood through language, medical interventions and the legal dismantling of sex goes back at least 100 years. Using archive footage from the 50s - 00s, this vid shows how "Transwomen are women" was the principal tenet of the movement long before it got coined as a catchy mantra.

It originally started as a response to Thai Rivera's claim that "Transwomen are not trying to take over womanhood, trans activists are" but grew into something bigger. I hope it's useful in helping to understand how the hell we got to where we are today.
