Marquise De Brinvilliers Frances Notorious 17th Century Poisoner Truecrime Shorts

Marie Madeleine Marguerite d'Aubray, known as the Marquise de Brinvilliers, was a 17th-century French poisoner.
Born around 1630, she married the Marquis de Brinvilliers in 1651, but their marriage became strained due to her affair with a scandalous cavalry officer, Godin de Sainte-Croix.
After arrest, he spent a year in the Bastille, where it's believed he learned about poisons.
Upon his release, the pair hatched a plan to poison d'Aubray and inherit the family fortune.
Between 1666 and 1670, the marquise poisoned her father and two brothers. Their plot unraveled when Sainte-Croix unexpectedly died, leading to the discovery of incriminating evidence.
The marquise fled, was captured, and eventually beheaded in 1676.
