Diagnostic Dyslexia Assessments & Reports

- This webinar will explain the key differences between a dyslexic screener and a full diagnostic report. You will gain an understanding of how a screen fits into the graduated response as part of the code of practice (2015), as well as learn who can carry out a screen. We will cover the key assessments that qualified assessors use to diagnose dyslexia so that you as parents or educational professionals understand the reasons behind using a range of assessment tools. The cognitive functions the tests measure will be covered so that you can develop knowledge and understanding of what assessors look for when diagnosing dyslexia. Standard scoring and percentiles will be explained and put into context so you will be able to interpret the results. Finally, we will show you what to look for when seeking a private assessor and ensure you seek an assessment that will enable your young person to move forward.
